May 26, 2017 Update

As Oceanwide continues installation of its perimeter shoring wall on the Mission Street site, deliveries will occur between midnight and 5 a.m. per SFMTA requirements. Every effort will be made to minimize the impacts to all neighbors during this time. Noise impacts will consist of concrete pumps, concrete vibration equipment, and delivery trucks. Ecker Street will continue to remain open to through traffic as a more permanent vehicle protection barrier is being installed on Ecker adjacent to the work site. This work should be completed in the next two weeks.

The removal of sidewalk vaults on First Street will continue through this week. The fire hydrant on the corner of Stevenson and First Street will be relocated.

Demolition of Buildings 40 and 50 1st Street will continue weekdays from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm. This work will be complete by early June.

Demolition of a portion of 78 First Street has started and will continue through July.

Jessie Street between Ecker and 1st is closed to cars and pedestrians for the first phase of the Jessie Street reroute. Ecker Street will continue to remain open to through traffic between Jessie and Mission as a more permanent vehicle protection barrier is being installed on Ecker adjacent to the work site.

May 19, 2017 Update

Demolition at 50 1st by Stevenson will continue weekdays from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm. This work is expected to be complete by early June. This will include the removal of sidewalk vaults on First Street and down Stevenson.

Oceanwide has begun installing their perimeter shoring wall on the Mission Street site. SFMTA requires that all oversized deliveries occur between midnight and 5 am. For this reason, large steel beams will be delivered to the site each night for the next four weeks, and every effort will be made to minimize the impacts to all neighbors during this time. Noise impacts will consist of concrete pumps, concrete vibration equipment, and delivery trucks. Ecker Street will continue to remain open to through traffic as a more permanent vehicle protection barrier is being installed on Ecker adjacent to the work site.

Jessie Street between Ecker and 1st is closed to cars and pedestrians as we work on the first phase of the Jessie Street reroute. Through traffic will be rerouted down Ecker Street to Mission.

May 5, 2017 Update

Later this week, Jessie Street between Ecker and 1st will be closed to cars and pedestrians as we begin the first phase of the Jessie Street reroute. Through traffic will be rerouted down Ecker Street to Mission.

Demolition at 50 1st will continue weekdays from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. This work is expected to be complete by early June.

PG&E will be working on 1st street near Jessie tomorrow evening until midnight. They will be removing equipment that is no longer in use.

Starting on May 19th for four weeks, steel will be delivered to the Mission Street site from the hours of Midnight-6am as Oceanwide begins the installation of the perimeter shoring wall. The City requires these deliveries to take place at night due to the large size of the steel piles, but every effort will be made to minimize the impacts associated with this work.

Apr 27, 2017 Update

Construction safety barricades have been installed along Stevenson Street and First Street.

Demolition at 50 1st will continue weekdays from 7:00 am – 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. This work is expected to be complete by early June.

Pedestrian improvements are complete, and Ecker Street between Jessie and Mission is now open to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Thank you for your patience while we completed the pedestrian improvements.

Jessie will continue to be closed daily from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm to both pedestrians and vehicles.

Soon, Jessie Street between Ecker and 1st will be closed to cars and pedestrians. Once we have a date for this closure, we will alert the neighborhood.
